Carby Tuning advice for Keihin carb

For your hi-compression to be right & optimal, you need the dished out area of the cylinder head to be the same diameter as the cylinder bore.

Is there something I can do about it? Should I sand off that ring if I have the clearance? Get a different head?

I'm not a 2 stroke guy but...
Gotta match the ring ID with the cyl buy using the piston and sandpaper.

There's a technique for that

Can you get me pictures of the bottom of cylinder head your going to use, as well as the head gasket you are going to use? That would help alot.

Does the bottom of your cylinder head look like this one

The top picture is after I cut my cylinder head to my 49mm bore, the bottom picture is before I cut the cylinder head for my 49mm bore. Bottom picture is as it was sold/stock for a 47mm bore.

Picture 1: Piston at tdc with gasket
2: Bottom of the head, you can see where it seals
3: How the gasket goes
4. You can see that it's raised up

That 41.41mm measurement on your hi-compression head needs to be increased to at least 47mm or the cylinder bore diameter. That's where your running into problems.
