Got a jet kit so this morning I tackled the issue. I uad moved the clip on the needle leaner with poor results so I moved the clip (after I spent an hour on the floor looking for it after fumbling it...we used to call these jesus-clips for that reason) back to the middle position. The "stock" jet did not have a size stamped on it...how 'bout that! Using mt torch cleaning files it looked like a .70, so I put in a .69 and went for a ride.
Starting, idle, and low end is pretty good, I can live wiyh it. top end is much better, w/less 4-stroking and pulls well on slight grade. Waiting for engine to cool before pulling the plug for a look.
I have a 44T rear sproket, and the bike being what it is, I really don't care if the top end speed is 30 or 25, the low end is far more important around town, think this winter I'll add a few teeth....that and better wheels....these huffy-esque things really are crap aren't they!........that and my brakes and mirror suck.....will look at the plug in a bit
