At the moment, im using TCW-3 2 Stroke Valvoline oil to break my engine in. It is only ASTM, API TC, NMMA, and TC-W3 certified.

Is this bad or frowned upon? Ive heard some in favor of synthetic oils. But does it make that much of a real difference if im not working the engine too hard?

No one local sells Honda HP2, so Its quite a wait to get it in the mail.

Actually, I found a good alternative with JASO-FC certification.
Lucas 2 Stroke Semi Synthetic.
Ill be trying this on my 3rd Tank for break in.
Maybe ill see a difference.

The whole point of break-in is to let the rings and cylinder wear in to a nice fit.

I run the cheapest 2-stroke oil I can find at the auto parts store and run a gallon through at 24:1.
After that it's the good oil at 32:1.
