Valve interference

my pushrod came loose the other day and the intake got stuck open a bit. i fixed it and adjusted the valves and it still doesnt want to run. these wouldnt happen to be interference motors would they? im hoping the intake valve isnt bent

Do a compression test, if you can't get a good seal any longer it might not go.

Timing may have gotten messed up. Or a loose wire.

i know the wiring is good and timing is perfect. ill have to find my compression tester. whats the compression supposed to be?

I don't know, but I think Google can get you through that part. I'd expect something above 100psi though.

138 psi ± 22 psi @ 2000 rpm You may have to disable the compression release to get these numbers. Its not an interference engine. Not even close .

Pull it and replace with a bolt and a copper washer underneath to completly block it off and to remove a hint of volume from the chamber (larger compression ratio = more psi.)

The compression release is built into the cam, not sure what drugs the above poser is on but that post is completely wrong. Take the cam out and it will be apparent how to disable it. .
