On September23,2015 I was riding my bicycle down walzem road and I was hit by a car my nose was broken my forehead was reconstructed my liver had laceration. I was hit into traffic n almost died. The lady who hit me gave false information. I have a lawyer for this. Needless to say I am riding again. I shall not live in fear

Jag, you know what doesn't help recovery,...being an a.s.s.h.o.l.e.!
She didn't say she wasn't wearing one, from the injuries, a helmet wouldn't have helped.Bike helmets only work for falling off a bike, not a car hitting you.
Sorry for your wreck sis, and Jag you're an a.s.s.

    calm down Troy

I can't make an educated guess that she wasn't wearing a helmet and now knows the importance of them?

Hey, I'm calm, and we're cool, but I'm one of those rare dying breeds that calls someone out for being out of line, what you replied was pretty cr.a.p.p.y., zero helpful/kind, and if an educated guess, not very educated. She said she broke her nose and cut her forehead, a place 98% of helmets don't cover, reading comprehension is a big part of educated guessing.
There's not a helmet in the world that will help you if a car hits you.

FYI the forehead is protected by the helmet.

I'm sorry Vanessa if my post was unwanted.
At least you know you have big brother types here ready to fight for you.

I hate seeing people wear a bicycle helmet on a motorized bike. they don't protect anything

good point. you are under protected with a bicycle helmet and over protected with a motorcycle helmet (which is experienced as unnecessary bulk and weight)

After reading every one's comments... Thank you for your support..n for info yes I was wearing a helmet.. I am riding again.. had to buy a new bike though my other one is a total loss. But good news is my lawyer got a hold of her insurance company.. what I'm afraid of is they will see my motorized bicycle as . Anyways I'm off to find somewhere to ride since it seems that we are not allowed on any kind of bicycle trail in the Park's

So glad you are able to ride again and have the strength of spirit to do so. No matter how careful we are, what safety gear we wear, none of us are immune to accidents. I've had about a dozen motorcycles/ motorized bikes and have had a few accidents along the way but for the grace of God and good luck, I have few permanent reminders of my misadventures. Better to be lucky than good!
