While Whizzer made Factory Production bikes from 1948 - 1952 after 1952 you could still buy a Whizzer Special made by the Parts Dept
Parts Dept operated until 1965
Parts Dept would get a Schwinn Bicycle and build a Whizzer Special using NOS parts
So if you got an old Schwinn Whizzer you think could of been made from a basic Whizzer motor kit, Look again you might have a real GEM

Nope that's the only info I know of

Wow! The cost of one too. Back then you can buy a car for 50 bucks, not a new one mind you but a good runner for sure.

Yes, there's a lot of details with these Specials we haven't mentioned, the nameplate being a big one.
A few years back this 1951 Special sold for 10 Grand.
