I saw a video on youtube where some guy went through a lot of trouble to drill a crank case vent into the side of his engine to provide a pulse for a Walbro type "squishy bulb" caburetor, which I have done to a Huasheng, once. He didn't need to go through all that trouble to do it, those carbs have a diaphram fuel pump because they usually sling the fuel tanks of the line trimmers they are designed for underneath the carb. If you mount the fuel tank above the carb, it doesn't need to pump the fuel from the tank, gravity will do it for you. Modding one of those to a motorized bicycle should be straight forward, you don't need to connect that. It worked for me just fine without it.
