Newbie question time.

Has anyone, or can you, use the pre-canned weedeater fuel you find in the lawn and garden center of your local Wally World? I'm told it's pre-mixed but i'm not sure of the ratio.

I figure it would cost the same as mixing your own.

It's 40:1 so you want a bit more oil if your run a HT.

The container looks kind of cool though.

I'm going to wait for it to go on clearance, <$1/qt.

Hope it's not off-road dyed fuel, which it very well could be as WM might not want to bother paying fuel tax to all the different localities.

Would probably be well preserved fuel (sta-bil-ized) for shelf life.

40:1 is not enough for happy time engines, or any 2 stroke under heavy loads such as on motorcycles. Certainly not enough during break in.

Mitsubishi engines take 40:1 and tanakas take 50:1. It would probably work fine for them.
