Where the cheap freewheels fails is if you're a large person, the engine isn't very powerful, there's 20+% grade hills, the 1st gear isn't low enough/gear selection was too high, you're using a high quality bicycle chain/rear derailleur, and you stand meshing the pedals to pedal assist.
With a high quality freewheel if the above conditions exist the bicycle chain will break or the draw back tension on the jockey pulley cage will fail causing the chain to jump off the rear sprocket. A broken bicycle chain can be fixed with a Kwik Link. A freewheel failure isn't an easy roadside repair. As for the rear derailleur I recommend a Sram X4 with either a Sram X3 (7 speed) or X4 (8 speed) shifter; I like using a Shimano HG71 bicycle chain.
I have to disagree with the broken chain being a easy fix
Yes it's definitely easy to fix but last time mine broke was at WOT, late at night and it wrapped itself around my axle.
From 40 dead stop without warning is NO fun lol.
Still don't know how I held it in the road lmao
