Walmart Special Cruisers.......

Hindsight…. Looking back I should have done some research before ever buying anything.
If I had did a little digging and found this website I definitely would have taken a different path.
The logic of cheap bicycle, cheap engine gets outfitted with cheap stuff is a recipe for failure.
This hobby can nickel and dime you to death rebuying cheap junk. It’s better to learn the gear and at the very least buy stuff that can hold up to the power of an engine.
My bicycle is a Walmart Schwinn. Probably by the time I’m done all that will be left is the frame…if that.

But the whole fun of this is building a CHEAP fun hobby though...... as cheap as I can get away with, but that's just me. I get a more satisfying feeling knowing I spent as little as I could to get something that the next man paid an arm and a leg for.

I often tell people our bikes are like having a young girlfriend; youre constantly spending money to mount and ride them. Just like a young girlfriend don't let a friend ride it; he's liable to tear it up really good and it'll be absolutely good for nothing after that lol

MY thing isn't about the money but building something unique that nobody else has.

All too often I've found cheap means low quality. Cheap to me is something I build from raw materials in a machine shop. Meaning I didn't pay for labor. I'm retired so I have time. Karl though still works so his time is money.

When I say 'cheap' I don't mean sacrificing quality..... but more so about finding good deals. Sorta like buying a nice t-shirt that costs $10 VS a fool who buys a 'brand name' stupid t-shirt that costs $100. I like for things to make sense when spending money, unlike that fool with the $100 t-shirt. But hey, to each their own.... some of ya'll might have money trees in your backyards, in which case I don't see it being a problem splurging.
