Warm-up time?

How long do you guys/gals have to warm-up your motor before you have good power? I'm just about thru my second gallon of gas. I have let my engine warm up for 3-4 minutes before I have much power at all and have to ride up to a 1/4 mile before it's really running strong. This just normal?

Depends on ambient temp and choke setting an fuel/air mix but typically mine takes 3 or 4 minutes before it is warmed up and ready to rock. When it is colder like here in the PNW I might leave my choke on for a minute or 2 and then turn it off. Seems to shorten the warm up period a bit. Full choke to start, 1/2 choke for a minute or 2 and then let her warm up and then down the road I go.
