Yea, from what I remember, the Bionix units are a bit underpowered. The fit under some extremely restrictive regs in Europe and parts of Canada ... an assist rather than the main means of propulsion.

since most are mounted in smaller 20" wheels the lower power is not quite so obvious.

nowhere in Canada is the limit below 500W. if the ebike is legal to ride at all that is.

but i have been riding with well over 500W for many years. i have found that in general as long as you are a responsible cyclist the cops won't bother you. just follow the rules of the road.
