was riding my new moondog yesterday & the chain came off. it wadded up in the crankcase & broke it. i have it repaired with j b weld but i'm afraid it won't hold. will post results.

hi; that is a bummer. somewhere on here there is talk of grinding the teeth for a better fit or is the tensioner? mitch

Yamaslo fix that link with a new master link or replace the chain. JB weld wont hold up and youll be stuck like chuck.

i used jb weld on crank case not the chain. i believe the rear wheel was out off line. it's hard to keep a chain till the sprockets wear in some. chinese don.t form the teeth well.

jb weld will probably hold

i've used jb weld on many things, and have never seen it fail. i've used it to glue a tin patch onto a plastic radiator, which lasted longer than the rest of the car. i've used it to repair damaged threads on the spark plug hole of a lawnmower head. the stuff is amazing. if you clean the parts good with a degreasing agent before bonding, the stuff acts like liquid steel.
