Has anyone actually had an aluminum frame fail after welding it?
I have seen posts about heat treating after welding, that it becomes weak if you don't heat treat. I am considering welding some brackets to the frame I have but only if it does not affect the integrity of the frame. I am also considering using a clam shell adaptor and welding the bolts to the back of the sprocket so I can clear my coaster brake and my 3" rear tire. has anyone done this?
Thanks, Hotrodlincoln
