Well, I just bit the bullet and ordered this today.

Yea I like them, I like those handle
bars too. This fork has more options
on tire and wheels. Yes I keep my suspension locked all the time. Whats next, fat tires? Geared hub
motor?

On the suspension thing.
Rear suspension is the worst of all when pedaling as it absorbs your energy by using your torque to compress the springs rather than all the power going to just the rear wheel.
Front suspension does that too, just to a much lesser degree. That's why the lock out is there.

Just elaborating on what Rocket was saying.
Suspension is only good for down hillers, not much pedaling involved. Still need the suspension cranked up as hard as you can get.

All I can tell ya since I have never had any of my motorised bikes with suspension systems on them is that mine rides smooth as silk with my YLG huge seat with the memory foam and big springs mounted on two rubber ball type supports under the seat...Very, Very, comfortable to ride despite my rheumatoid and psoriatic arthritis, tendonitis, and various other assorted old man aches and pains...lol...lol.

How does she handle with the new forks? I see the wheel base is a little shorter.

There's a ski hill 25 miles from me, and I fix a few of those bikes ever so often. They buy a bike and go down and have no regards for the set up, bottom out the suspension and crash, bend and break :poop:. Then I make 50-100.

She really handles just as well as she always has, just better stopping power...Stopping was excellent before but actually surpasses excellent now...lol...lol.

Ps, I think I lost no more than an inch to an inch and a half on the wheel base between the stock fork and the new triple tree fork.

My geometric configurations seem to be still in effect...lol...lol.

Yea, your right fearless leader, your a cheap bas*ard but after the new handle bar upgrade that front set up
was feeling a little weak at top speed. Feels better with the triple
dont it? My bike will coast 45 mph
downhill no throttle. So keep it tight.

The handlebar was not upgraded, those are the stock handlebars on that bike and they are perfect for me, no way will I part with those...lol...It was the front fork that was upgraded from stock to the triple tree plus the larger brake disk from a 160mm to a 203mm which is what is also on the back wheel as well both using cable pull hydraulic disk brake calipers...Stops on a dime and leaves ya nine cents change...lol.

Nice thing about the Hyper frame, it never feels weak at any speed I choose to go, plus the bike is quite heavy with everything I've got on it, about 100 pounds or so.

I do not know how fast my bike will go as I have never given it full throttle and just let it climb in speed, On flat roads, I have had it to 51 MPH with throttle left over, The Phantom 85 motors are a powerhouse to be reckoned with and has great low end torque as well, getting up to speed is effortless, even going uphill in the foothills, no strain.

Everything is quite tight...lol..."Ship shape and Bristol fashion" at all times as they used to say...lol...lol.
I will not tolerate anything less, my life and well being rides on that bike.

That's what my mother always used to say, she also always said I could squeeze a nickel so tight, the buffalo would be taking a "wicked piss"...lol...lol.
I still say I am just thrifty and frugal though...lol...lol.

The Great One states: My geometric configurations seem to be still in effect...lol...lol.
