Pulled a skid the other day in the wet when I went to start my bike. I dropped the clutch in and it locked up the back wheel because the road was wet. Lucky for me the wheel gripped after a bit and the bike started.

I suppose most people would know this but keep your hand on the clutch when starting in the wet so that you can pull it out if your tyre starts to skid

or step up to a SickBikeParts shift kit and give yourself a smile so great, it needs to be surgically removed the first time you change gears!
