It certainly can't be any harder than an old Raleigh. Lol
But seriously I think it would be great for coastal riding where the salt gets into every little scratch and chip in the paint. Bamboo bikes are sold as proper touring bikes now so they should be resilient enough and no chance of the material work hardening over time.
they look cool and obviously are light but 300€ for a bare frame is far too steep for me!
i wonder how they do the joints? wrap and sand or is it just fibreglass resin?
be cool to make your own but i dunno i just cant imagine it being durable enough
A Surly Disc Trucker frame (and fork) is about £320-360.
The home build kits are around the same price but can perhaps be fixed in remote places with no access to electricity*. A true adventure bike frame.
It's just flax fibre and epoxy around the joints.
I think with stainless dropouts and BB it would be great. I don't know about the ground for the ignition though..
*As long as they have bamboo and flax lol
