what size steel should i use for the actual push arm on my push trailor project, its a 33cc 2 stroke, 1hp, i was going to use standard seat post thickness metal, will this be ok?
Check the Redi Bolt display at local hardware / home improvement store,
while a bit pricey, the assortment is handy. Thickness depends on metal shape, length, and forces applied. Square tubing is very strong, angle iron is second, flat pieces are another story. Tubing resists rotational torque, that would bend square tubing.
Be sensible, design well, and ask some questions of the people who make the steel, what the assorted stress limits are on the steel that you are intending to use.
