Which belt width should i buy?

Bought an hs 142f kit off ebay. Belt in the transmission housing striped on me after about 80 miles total. What is typical life? When i search for belts matching the stamp in the belt (htd 575-5m) i get multiple topwidth selections and it isnt’t marked on the belt. Is it a 9,12,15? Anyone have a supplier reference for super fast shipping?

Measure the width of the pulley and get the one that's the closest match.

Take the belt to NAPA they will match and it will be a better quality

If all else fails Grubee has the 80 tooth and 100 tooth belts in stock. If they're the right ones. Confirm before you buy with someone on here who knows fo shoo.

Width doesn't matter that much, length does (hehe)

But id count the teeth on the rear pulley, and get the belt off of a reputable seller (grubee, bicycle engines.com)

For bearings, belts and other common stuff I check locally for dealers in that stuff. We have place here that sells belts of every size length and width. Rarely does he not have it in stock or cannot get what I need.
