Which mods is the best for a Phantom 85

So out with the reeds and what will that get you for better performance??
The phantom gains about half hp without the reed.
The non-windowed piston along with not having the reed also results in more blowback of excess fuel/oil mix back through the carburetor as well.

Chasing that 1/2 HP on a Phantom 85 still makes no sense to me when we are talking about 50+ MPH right out of the box...I have two Phantoms that run and purr beautifully, I haven't changed out anything from stock except the airfilter...lol.

Id like to know how the meteror piston works in the phantom engine when I just looked them up.To see there not a windowed piston! So out with the reeds and what will that get you for better performance??
None of the MS460 pistons are going to have windows. The Stihl 046 saw is piston port. I ran mine piston port with the reeds removed from the cage and it runs great that way.

Simplicity. There is some blowback, but the reed block itself does a decent job of catching quite a bit of it. I never minded.
