Which mods is the best for a Phantom 85

Porting is quite intimidating, but even the "experts" can mess it up. The guys who build 2 stroke race bikes are constantly chucking very expensive cylinders in the scrap lile because they messed up the porting. But I have to say I am split between @Mike Cyanide 's opinion. Yes people doing the work might make it more theirs, but some people don't have time, don't have tools, or don't feel comfortable with porting, and that's ok. I personally think the phantom is quite flawed, but I got it out of curiosity. Same with the Avenger. I am getting an Avenger lut of curiosity. I couldn't care less people's opinions because in the end it was my decision.

It's all good buddy. Just screw up a couple old cylinders first. Then go for it! That's the game man. Sure its intimidating but that's why it's so satisfying when you build a beast. My phantom is fast but I did nothing to make it that way my ld100 was laughed at but when I finally made her scream it was the best feeling!

Just dive in kid. It's worth it. I understand the exceptions but any grease monkey who buys a race motor and thinks their cool will get no cred from me but a hypothetical kid with the cheapest Amazon kit and some heart in his garage makes it go just 3mph faster or leave just c alittle harder. That kids my hero and I'll treat him like one lol

As I told you already many times before, its a fake vendor for the Phantoms and now you actually asked the owners of the copyright and trademarks and they also told you it was fake, how many ways can we continue telling you this???

I would trust bicycle engines. I've never heard of them misleading anyone but not to worry your motor is likely just fine. Just inspect it thoroughly before install. LiKE ALWAYS. These motor can never be trusted outside of a warranty

Is that s**t news? Kinda... but you bought it so make lemonade. Pull it apart and MAKE it a phantom. You will be fine. Just take your time and do it right. My phantom is 2nd hand. I blew it up bought a top end from CMB that was "oem" and that went to hell so I made them ship me another knowing it was fake but after so hard work and love I too have a phantom. It's a real phantom to me damn it! Lol

Also agree on screw other opinions but I urge you to go for it! Take ur time. Set ur degree wheel a million times. Do it. Buy 2 cylinders extra when u can and bust out that dremel!

I like the avenger, it’s just the plating that’s bad on it. I’m more a fan of the venom 80. Better case design.
