I'm finishing up a whizzer model J build and the flywheel bolt snapped off, any ideas on removing and replacing, I believe it is reverse thread.

There are three members of the forum that I know of that will probably be able to answer your Whizzer question.

These guys are Whizzer experts, @Wrench, @mason_man, and @Risk Man ...Wait for these guys to answer your question on your Model J flywheel bolt that you snapped whilst trying to remove it.

I assume the LH thread flywheel bolt broke because someone tried to remove it thinking it had RH threads

The flywheel bolt is big enough drill and tap threads for a smaller 1/4" bolt to screw into it

Epoxy the smaller 1/4" bolt into the broken flywheel bolt and you should be able to unscrew the broken flywheel bolt

OR if ya got a welder, Drill and tap for 1/4" bolt and weld it onto the broken flywheel bolt to unscrew it

Thanks wrench, I drilled it out to get a tapered tap started and as I was tapping it just unscrewed so easy, sometimes we get lucky lol, by the way , is this a whizzer specific bolt, thanks again (y)

There's nothing special about the bolt except LH threads - Only if ya want original or new
The washer looks special because it's so thick and tapered at the top
You could probably order a new bolt at Ace Hardware

Original Whizzer "J" Flywheel bolt for sale on E bay
Original -so they say?
