well consider it like this: you are only using 8 oz. of oil in the case, not 5 quarts. So I buy the big jug of cheap oil, and regularly change it as a sort of "insurance" to protect the engine. These engines run very hot, and this seems to break down the oil fairly quickly. Like I said in my earlier post, this is just me. Maybe sometimes I'll hold off a bit longer, but I like to make sure I change it at least every 80 to 100 miles. But at 8 oz. it's not that big of a deal to know I've protection every ride.
