Who wants atachometer for there bike?

so i was searching online for upgrades for my chopper when i can across this tach.

its called Tiny-tach

it works on 2 stroke and 4 strokes.

1 wire hooks up to the sparkplug wire and the other you ground to the frame.

has built in battery that last 5+ years.

im getting 2 of 'em.

get them on ebay or google search!

I bought one from Staton that works perfectly and doubles as an hour-meter so you can keep track of how many hours are on your engine. When the engine is running, it's a tach. When it's off, the hours on the engine are displayed. Slick little device! Total cost was about $35.

I think you'd have to specify whether it's for a 2 stroke or 4 stroke....if you put one for a 4 stroke onto a 2 stroke engine, it will read double. Likewise, if you put one meant for a 2 stroke on a 4 stroke, it will read half of what the actual RPM's are.

Pretty neat. Only bad thing I see about this unit is that it updates so slowly.

Every 2.5 seconds??? That is slow.

The commercial one is a little better at .5 seconds.

Yeah, if you're watching it in a drag-race kind of condition, that would be way too slow. In practical application, it's really more about seeing where your cruising rpm's are at certain speeds, though.
