:cool:Howziit guys.

trying to make my chinese engines more reliable and easier to control/operate. better mounts, high-quality hardwire externally(not internal yet).

i searched previous threads. i'll pm the members who mentioned the same problem with sloppy clutch lever operation.

anyone machined their clutch lever bushings/sleeves, or know where to buy them? it would be nice to be able to buy a few at a hardware store for less than a dollar.

thanks in advance.

:cool:after searching the 'net with no results, i bought a $2 brass compression fitting at the hardware store. the 1/2" brass insert that i needed came with the fitting, and was probably worth less than 25 cents.
since the metric-sized lever fit loosely into the american insert, i had to remove about .060" down the length of the insert.
the brass pressed into the cover, down to the rollpin, but of course the lever wouldn't fit into the hole anymore. if i can't ream to fit, i might try brass shimstock instead...or maybe beercans.
