Why does all the 80 cc bikes look the same?

All the differences are internal, where it counts, porting, skirting, crank balancing, etc...externally there is just no difference.

Not always...When in doubt when you want to do that, always ask here first so you don't screw anything up, or waste any money...lol...lol.

This basic design for the 2 strokes has been around since the Russians first were doing this in WWII era because of lack of resources, Then the Chinese decided to copy their's from the Russian design and adapt them from there throught the years.

The US, during that WWII period were developing the Whizzer 4 stroke designs for munitions factory workers etc. to be able to get to work for the war effort, while conserving gasoline, rubber for tires, etc. which was all rationed during WWII.

The rest is history...lol.
