Why Won't It Start? I could use some expert ears. Please watch, let me know what you think.

Can't tune a carb if the motor won't run. I could really use the opinion of some trained ears. Information on jets and needle settings appear on-screen in the video. After trying for an hour or so the spark plug was slightly wet with some black that wiped away.

wet fart, to rich, turn tht choke off. it should sound like a " gotta check, naw just kiddin" fart. a pingy metal sounding fart is to lean. Most of mine don't need a choke but to start in winter, and they fire off, then need it shut off. watch some youtube videos of dirt bikes, listen to the song they sing. what is your oil mix? an altitude?

OMFG STOP DINKING WITH THAT CHOKE BRO!!! AHHHHHH. it's like a horror movie, tht starts to turn in favor of the good guys, then wham , jason comes and kill everybody. GERSH DANG IT YUCK, STOP F N WITH THT CHOKE, LOL!!

This is why I built a stand at home for the shop. LOL.

I love the Jason analogy! 😝 Hey I didn't know! Thanks. The next time I try and start it I will leave the choke open.

let me ask you, do you have a blow dryer or heat gun? FORGET ABOUT THAT CHOKE!!, DON'T MESS WITH IT!! it's tripping you up man.
No blow dryer or heat gun. Plus I live on the third floor. I suppose you are suggesting warming up the engine with it?

My guess for your engine, Stock engine, 66cc, with speed carb, I'd guess a 68-70 jet, depending on altitude. An needle some where about half way. I'm at about 2500 feet, Stockers usually run a 68-69 for me. Need on middle or one lower.

I'm pretty close to sea level....about 145 feet. 70 jet and half way is where I started out. But.... seems my left side for the shift kit was rubbing the drive sprocket cover as @Chainlube had properly guessed. Maybe, just maybe, it was starting to get better at starting because the cover had been sufficiently worn away enough not to stop the engine??? I'll post a short video of the how the chain was grinding on the cover.
