With Sick Bike Parts Shutting down and soon only low grade shift kits will be available; are gas shifters doomed for extinction? Unless something changes, future shifters will have to buy the low grade shift kits and upgrade them.

It's my hope a company such as Gru-Bee will step up and produce high quality shift kits like the SPB shifters. I feel with only low grade kits that needs upgrading it will cause future builders to lose interest in shifter builds.

Most of the specialist shops are done or will be done... Gas motors especially 2 cycle are practically extinct anyways... 10 years ago everything was plentiful... Now it's hard to find... Doesn't matter what it is... I'm stocking up and putting off building till I'm satisfied I have more than enough spares...

Is really the only weak link, the one way bearing/ or whatever it's called. Cant it just be upgraded to a whites industries brand? I'm curious as I'm going to use a grubee shift kit designed for my 142f hausheng & 4g-1b transmission hopefully this summer. I was hoping when I get to that point you can help/shove me along with the build.

It's my hope if I can get a few of us making good quality videos with riders promoting a positive image and safe riding habits; it'll revitalize interest in motorized bicycles.

The Gru-Bee G10 is a linking system for the G4 transmission and an SBP shift kit.

I'm pretty sure Gru-Bee doesn't make a shift kit yet.
So does grubee shift kit come with a SBP shift kit then, in conjunction with Grubee parts? I'm not sure as I havent studied it too much. I set my bike up in Hope's of using the grubee kit, but maybe that's out the window now.

I'm not sure how good the bottom bracket system is on the cheap shift kits. I noticed they only have 2 sealed bearings in them. Where as my Staton Inc shift kit has 4 sealed bearings in the bottom bracket.

Good news it now looks like the G10 will include a shift kit as well

A few weeks ago I asked Gru-Bee if they were going to start doing this since SBP was shutting down.

Maybe we shifters can still have hope of not becoming extinct.
