It don`t look like much, But after all this trial and error over the last year messing with bigger carbs, porting, setting the squish ect..tried useing a catnip cdi and I had been trying to get a stuffed g2 reed and 21mm pwk carb and than a smaller 19mm oko just couldn`t get ittuned right with it. Useing the 40 tooth sprocket i had lost 6mph with the bigger carbs and catnip cdi. I ended up going back to a ztmoto reed and bofang carb and reg, cdi. Now she`s back up there over 40mph rippen it for even more. A couple of thing i`m gonna change is the wheels. I have ordered a Phantom 85 kit (cant wait). The 36 tooth rag joint sprocket that comes with it. I am putting it on a set of black rims and spoke wheels thats going on this ride again. I`ll use the cnc 40 tooth sprocket with the 85 kit. I`m sure the catnip cdi coil and bigger carbs will come back into play later on. But besides mounting the back of the f2 better and a bag on the front to hide cable and carry tools, she almost done.

It's my day off tomorrow, and it's gonna rain all day at that. I'll end up cleaning my g2 reed up and sanding the surfaces good. And try it again. It might be a reed causing me trouble.one sounded loose.

Than I'm curious on what my phantom piston looks like after a couple tanks.

I ended up taking my completely stock phantom out for a 10 mile ride today. I`ve had it for 3 months and a week with no problems yet. Valvoline 2 stroke oil at 27.1. I must admit that thing will vibrate like hell once it hits a certain rpm. it keeps me from going any faster than 40mph with the 40 tooth sprocket. so i guess i`ll just enjoy all the torque of the phantom for the next 3 months till the warranty expires. Than i might try some stuff, balancing the crank, squaring up deck, adding a better piston,... if it last that long, but so far so good. Knock on wood.

20:1 for breakin for first 300 miles, no less oil than 25:1 after breakin is over, except in high heat climate conditions, then it stays at 20:1.

Extreme vibration can and will happen with alot of different bikes using that front mount "contraption" they send with the kits...The CDH type front mount is the answer to this problem in most cases...It holds so firmly, there is no wiggle room for it too vibrate.

I love that look how did you make that front mount?
With a lot of blood, sweat, and tears...lol...I used mostly hand tools to fabricate and shape it...Some hand held power tools here and there...When it was done, I sent it with a buddy of mine who works at the ballistic missile testing center that adjoins the AFB here in Alamogordo to throw it through the bead blaster...It is made from a bar of 7075 T-6 military aviation grade aluminum...Your NOT gonna get that at Walmart...lol.
