Runs Fine with petcock in off position,til it runs out.

easy, way too rich. put a smaller jet in

or at least try dropping the needle to a leaner posotion

Both of my bikes the e clip is on top notch of needle, I cleaned out the carb the main hole is so tiny I can barely see thru it also cleaned the filter in tank. Put a new inline filter and NGK bhs6.it ran good for about a month .now some days it runs good, but it'll vibrate and run rough on deceleration, I shut the petcock off and it'll run smooth. In the 70's I had a bultaco that if you fell off the pipe it would load up and you had to shut off petcock and wait for all the gas to run out of float bowl and it would scream you had to hurry and turn petcock back on, it was a race bike very pipey!

It was supposed to say main jet, I have another laying around I'll see if the main jet is smaller

Check the float level, it may be too high.

if it is new, you may just have to wait for rings to seat
