Used the search for WOT. No results.

Read lots of threads that have used WOT in them and about all i can gather is it means you are "hot rodding" or running your engine too hard or something along those lines...

But what exactly does WOT stand for ...

    Waste Of Time. Bwahahaha!

    Wide Open Throttle. Yep.

For cars, foot to the wood(when firewalls were wooden) or pedal to the metal.

Unfortunately, WOT doesn't apply to my Jeep because it has no throttle to module intake airflow and runs as much air as it can possibly take all of the time.

Hint: it doesn't have a gas pedal either but a "go" pedal :)

You will also sometimes see this as "WFO" ...which can't be defined without violating Augie's family friendly language rule.

Skyliner, Where'd you get a diesel jeep?

Jeep made about 15,000 Jeep Liberty Diesels in 2005-2006 with a VM Motori 2.8L common rail diesel engine. The engine is rated for 1,000,000 of commercial use and is a copy licensed from detroit diesel. Its awesome!

WOT is what usually happens just before the rod goes through the side of the crank case. Then you know you went WOT one too many times.
