Would adding a reed and windowed piston do much on a ported motor? (zeda 80)

Some are flat, some are slightly dished like the Zeda I'm building right now, And I know I've seen them dimpled, but can't remember if it was always after wear or dimpled when new.

Yeah, the zeda 80 uses a slightly different setup. The bar is a few mm longer with a fairly deep divot for the ball in one end. Comparing a new setup off amazon to what the zeda has, shows that the zeda bar + ball is 1-2mm longer all together.

Ended up using the old zeda bar and ball, and replaced the clutch actuating cam from the new kit (somewhat different cuts, for whatever reason it works where the other doesn't). If I continue to have issues, I may take your advice Spare_Parts and just make my own.

I don't trust zms. My case reed was full of lies.

A reed and larger carb will work well with your mods. You should pick up bottom and mid range. Might want to add a boost port as well. Made a world of difference to my current engine.

The boost bottle doesn't do anything except make your wallet lighter

Boost bottles are only useful for holding a shot of whiskey.
