WTB: MTB Shifters/Levers for 1" bars

I don't know how much this will help you, augidog.

But I have used the old stem mounted shifters (like those found on ten-speeds) for motor assisted bicycles. You can shift using the left hand and it cuts down on handlebar clutter.

Not exactly what you are looking for, but maybe it can be a decent alternative.

thanks, bluegoat'...he's willing to "adapt" if necessary, but we'll need to keep the controls handier than the stem...he pedal-assists his 32 all the way up.

To the best of my knowledge what you are asking for does not exist as an off the shelf part. Every twist shifter that I'm familar with is made to fit the 7/8th dia. grip area of Cruiser and MTB bars.

he's ok with universal thumb-shifters...

we're in the market for shifters & brake levers for the one-inch bar.

I've seen them listed with some of those ebay power sellers. usually about $7.00.

The basic ones have a very flexible mount. It shouldn't be hard to "stretch" it to fit.
