The rear mounting hole of the tank is a pretty big hole and to find a bolt to go through it and the frame, I'd have to drill a hole like 5/8" through my frame. I wasn't doing that. I found a sleeve to resize the hole, but it wouldn't allow the tank to come off the frame if need be, so I had to look for an alternate solution. As it turns out an axle from an old bike wheel and the bearing collar would center the tank hole on the frame. I cut the axle off at the correct length, good end, and welded it to the frame. Couldn't ask for a better result. Bonus pic! The forward tank mount.

That looks good, what size is that tank?

I cleaned my shop for a week waiting for parts that got wrecked in shipping and sent back to the seller, guess I should check the tracking sooner, ha, ha. There is only two bits I absolutely need and they weren't on that shipment, Phew!
Not much else to do other than get all my other parts situated or built, so I cleaned out the crank bearings and reinstalled the cranks. This allowed me to get the position of the engine in the frame, not quite as high as I first imagined. Now that I have that spot pegged, today I can work on the exhaust.
Nice crank bearings though, for a Canadian made bike.

Well I had this pipe lying around, so I thought I'd try and make something out of it. There was nothing inside at all. No stinger, no baffle. No wonder they're so loud.

Hopefully you can quiet that pipe, It works as a good straight pipe but its borderline mz65 loud. lol
The second and third last photos show the little baffle I made. A whole bunch of the new pipe in the last photo will be cut off to fit the bike.
You mentioned how loud they were, so I thought I'd just show everyone what was inside that was so unappealing. Which was nothing, made on a budget parts. It does have one appealing quality, the chrome tip.

The best thing about making those kind of baffles, is they don't have to be pretty, just have to block the passage some.
