Sorry in advance if this info is here and I missed it but search box didn't turn up any results. I wasn't crazy about the universe front mount that comes with the kit. ( U bolt and flat plate) so I purchased the CDH power CNC mount. That mount creates a greater distance between mounting points, so I have to lift the engine higher in the frame to fit. I don't like getting the center of gravity so high on the bike. It's getting crowded on top at spark plug, Also I would need to grind off one of the water bottle mounts on the bike frame for rear mount that's no big deal. The CDH mount has some slopp in the knuckle joint allowing engine wobble until the rear mount is fully tightened. So with these issues I'm wondering if it's actually any better than the supplied universal mount. I can't seem to find much info on anyone using the CDH Power CNC mount. Also seems so many use the supplied universal mount and I don't see many alternatives so maybe it works OK? I maybe over concerned about it but " universal engine mount" doesn't have a good ring to it.
Thanks

Down below, the pics will show you my former front engine mount that i had used for a little over five years and 6000 miles, first on my Huffy frame, (before it broke at the rear engine mount), and then on my Hyper Bike Company frame which i find superior to the old Huffy...The engine mount was made from a piece of rollbar i found in a junk yard from a wrecked ATV...The last pic is the old Huffy...DAMIEN
That's a nice looking mount also, it's like what I was describing with more contact surface. I'll eventually come up with something now that I'm looking. I considered the taller jug of the Yd100 but wasn't sure how much taller it actually is than the 80. Yes the plug looks crap. A lot of fiddling around just to get it to thread in. I was concerned it may have been the female thread in the head. My shipment must have been dropped because the front engine studs are bent and one put a good dent in the gas tank. I'm concerned there might be some damage to the block, I ordered new studs so just waiting, I don't want to locktite bent studs into the case. Odd thing I noticed, I haven't removed the top end but it looks like there a two or doubled up gaskets between the cylinder and case. Wondering if that is intentional or a mistake. Or intentional because there was a mistake. Like trying to tweak the stroke length by adding a gasket because they got it wrong? I owned a lot of motorcycles over the years and did alot of work myself but never rebuilt an engine. I'm a retired woodworker so my experience with metals also is limited to what I did as a NYC locksmith which required a lot of improvising but I'm no machinist. I appreciate your imput.

BTW 6K miles is insane, A testament to your maintenance and non abuse. Im wondering how I will ever do enough miles to do the break in, I only average about 1500 miles a yr on my truck since retirement.

First off...Did you get the motor kit from my buddies at bicycle-engine.com???.
If so, call them at the number supplied below and tell them that you talked to their customer "Robb" in Alamogordo NM...They have a 6 month warranty on their stuff...(406) 586-5970

Second...Ask them about the double gasket...it may be done by design.

hehehehehhe...New york City locksmith...I was originally in my career a City of Boston cop and eventually was appointed as the Chief, Lt. Police Constable of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts...Resigned/retired from that in 1989 and moved to the Seacoast of New Hampshire and went back to my first love, automotive mechanics, until my full retirement in 2010 and then moved here to Alamogordo NM in 2011...lol...Small world you East Coastie, You...lol.

I wonder what was more dangerous...Locksmith in NYC, or cop in "The Peoples "Socialist" "Commonwealth" of Massachusetts"???...lol...DAMIEN

Yes the kit came from bicycle-engine.com, I'm not gonna whine about a dent in the tank, even if it's a good size one, but I do want to know about the gaskets....I'll call tomorrow. Don't want to sidetrack the thread but I was a union guy and my ( local) shop sent me to situations where I delt with lots of law enforcement, local, federal and private and lots of NYFD. I imagine your job was quite a lot more dangerous than mine. The sketchiest thing I had to do was frequently go to buildings were foreign dignitaries were and off limits to almost everyone else. Thier secret service equivalents were always jumping up ready to pounce like " who are you?" in some other language with itchy trigger fingers. All I could do was hold a key up and make a turning gesture. They never seemed to get a heads up that I was going to be there.
