Lmfao, i just bought a kit of snap rings to find what size it used. Just waiting for them to get here. Got tired of the wire clips bending. Thanks for that tid bit. Saves me the hassle of trying each size till one slides in correctly.

I got her slapped together today but haven't started it yet, got dark on me.

Upon further inspection I found that my piston has a 10mm OD wrist pin so I've just been breaking the engine in with the clips that it came with. The YD-100s may have been made with 2 different pistons and rods ? The comparison pic shows the 50mm piston with maybe a bigger wrist pin?

Yeh, that looks more like it. Thanks Wrench

BTW The 14 MM snap rings are for a Whizzer M/B.
A 2 stroke might be a different size
Just take you piston to Ace Hardware and see what size snap ring fits

Next time I'll try to find a snap ring that will hold my 10mm wrist pin in so this won't happen. I had burned 3 quarts on breakin fuel when the G-clip broke off. Durn the bad luck. New engine is on the way.

Don't ask me why it gouged both sides of the piston in the same area? The other G-clip was fine.

Back on the road. Fast Bike Motors in Vegas sent my a complete new YD100 kit and threw in a new piston and ring set for my original engine. That is excellent service from the China Doll lady on the phone. All she wanted was some pictures and I didn't have to mail anything back. So I got a Motive Stonegrinder from Goodwill for $25.00 and put the new kit on it (pictured). What a cheap hobby, I got 2 kits for $150.00 and 2 bikes for $60.00 so for $210.00 and I now have 2 motorized bicycles. I'm worried about the G-clips failing again so have ordered some Wiseco 10mm cw piston circlips for a Yamaha PW-50, hope they work.
