Yet Unmotorized Cyclist from Miami!

Hey guys! Name's Tom; living here in sunny Miami. Looking to put a Honda GX35 engine on my 27" mountain bike. On the to-buy list right now are the engine kit, disk brakes, three more headlights, a spacious basket for the front, a kickstand, and maybe a good lubricating oil for the chain.

Any suggestions?

How dependable are friction drive engine kits? Could I reliably ride on the road with them to commute to different places (e.g. the local high school, marketplace, friend's house, etc.)?
