Does the engine have a windowed piston?
Your one of the very few I have seen in this forum that actually has bought one of those"Dio's"...Whenever I saw one of those on their website, my immediate thought was this is only for someone that is able to perform serious modifications to his bike to make it fit and work properly.I figured. Helped with erratic idle but made it reallyyyy bog down even with 15% throttle. So if it's getting less air now and runs worse, it's way too rich I'd assume. This seriously pisses me off. This was bicycle-engines most expensive kit aside from the Phantom. I put in the smallest jets that came with the carb to now avail.
They sent the stock NT carb with the kit but with NO way to install to engine. It's like a massive middle finger! Just super annoyed with this entire situation with their site. First I get screwed out of a phantom i paid for (not bicycle-engines fault) and now this. I should have stuck with my cheap ebay kits. They actually ran.

Take your air filter off and take a picture of the slide inside the venturi. I had a similar issue where the throttle cable was too short. The slide should be almost on the bottom.I think I may make a new thread regarding the tuning of the carb. There is a few threads already on here but active, up to date discussion seems like the best course even though I feel like such a noob and it's a bit frustrating I really want to get this thing going and maybe help the next guy that gets one.
I managed to get it to run okay on slight throttle and idle fine. Mid and high range are non existent. (I know it needs to break in and that full throttle is not advised.) if I very slowly ease into the throttle I can get it up to speed but too much too fast it bogs at any rpm range. It also seems to take a while to return to idle which is odd to me.
To my surprise it seems to be running the best on the biggest jets in the kit, 125 main and 41 slow jet and needle set to the leanest position. I understand that that sounds counterintuitive but I had moved the needle clip to leanest as first step and then tried all the jets. Doesn't seem like the idle air screw does a whole lot.
I would like to order some different jets but not sure if I need bigger or smaller at this point!!
Had this issue originally. Got that figured out real quick! The clutch lever doubled as a WOT switch!Take your air filter off and take a picture of the slide inside the venturi. I had a similar issue where the throttle cable was too short. The slide should be almost on the bottom.
