So I just figured out that my transfers are not quite even. The transfer roofs on the left are a bit lower than the ones on the right. Would that cause what’s visible on the top of the cylinder?

I’m pretty sure I found where the fuel is coming from. I’m wondering what that little valve does at the bottom right of the O-ring

Not a bad wash pattern, a few seconds with a Dremel will raise the roof and make that black spot more in the center of the piston. A good expansion chamber will all but eliminate the black spot.
