lighting.....

go to the lighting & electrical section & learn how to build yer own SLA-based system. well worth it, as anyone who's done it will tell you.

sla = sealed lead acid battery?

I looked at a few although decided against one. An SLA would've charged off my car battery charger and had more capacity. However I was mainly concerned of the possibility of battery acid spillage in the event of a wreck. I also would've had to use a voltage regulator and/or resistors for sure.

I'm trying to build essentially two, arrays of three leds into one round housing. Powered from a 6 cell 3300mah rc car pack split it into 2 packs of 3 cells each.

Heres an incredibly crude schematic i whipped up since i'm bored.

Use a true gel battery or a AGM SLA battery.
AGM means Absorbed Glass Mat. You can poke a good sized hole in the side of one and get barely a drop out of it.
Now, if it gets squashed in an impact, all bets are off!
