How to make a 66cc motorized bicycle sound like a dirt bike?

Some exhaust work is in order.
You can simply drill a hole in the end cap. Makes it slightly louder. Some say it helps performance, but i never noticed any difference.

Only a jack donkey would want to make his vehicle louder on purpose.

Think of the noises other people make that irritate you most, and then think how much you'd like it if they made those noises louder on purpose, for no good reason.

I think its more to do with tone than DB

I think that the the question had more to do with tone than the noise that it made. My bike sounded a lot better when I installed an expansion chamber. It also went a lot faster. It seemed to lower the pitch by quite a bit and because the pipe much farther back was a lot less irritating to me.

I've ridden up to my neighbors house and he didn't even notice it until I was right on him that I was even riding a motorized bicycle. I did have my old stock muffler rattle loose one day and it made a heck of a noise. I live in a set of town houses and I did get more than one complaint, But that was more than two motors ago.

right. lowering the tone has nothing to do with volume. tempering the high pitch with an expansion chamber would probably make it LESS irritating even if it makes it a little louder.
