hey guys, got everything ready to go but my clutch will not engage.. the cable is installed right, the clutch arm leaver on the engine has about a 1/4 turn play in it to the left but when i engage the clutch it is very stiff an still doesnt work? please help:cry:

there are threads here about doing clutch adjustments & some pics of how things should look - use the search for more info

that clutch arm is always very stiff if you're trying to push it in by hand, but if your cable is adjusted right and has no sharp bends in it, pulling the lever on the handlebar shouldn't be too hard

CODZ,

Most of these CHINA motors come with the clutch frozen together. Take clutch cover off and loosen flower nut of clutch. Work it till it breaks loose.............................

Be CAREFUL, anything you touch on these engines can turn into a major situation.

what about trying to turn over your engine by turning the crank shaft. finding out thhe nut holding the sprocket on the crankshaft is loose, tightning it and then the clutch pin not moving in anymore

The instruction was to take the magneto cover off and turn the nut under there
which is on the crankshaft.

The 10 tooth sprocket is Not on the crankshaft.

Is your engine seized?

Be sure the bucking bar ball was installed. Slide the bucking bar out, stick a big nail in hole, hold a magnet to nail, pull back, see if ball comes out. If so, re-assemble after lubing. I discovered a Ceramic Disc Brake Grease with a melt temp of 3,000 degrees. Comes in tube, end fits bucking bar cavity, a quick squeeze, and your done. Did both bikes, time will tell .
