So firstly, does this little crown thing stay on the spark plug or do I remove it? Second can anyone send a Amazon link for a good chain, because me being so smart I made the chain way too short .

Spark plug end depends on what style.of cap is on the plug wire. Most of these cheaper CDI units use the rounded end, known as a socket style. The threaded terminal style is common on motorcycles and some lawn equipment.

As far as chain goes. I like to buy this 10ft stuff. It's a decent quality riveted chain and 10ft is enough to get at least 2 bikes worth out of. Just cut to length.

You'll want to bin that plug anyway, they're not very reliable. Go to your local auto parts and get an NGK B6HS.
