Best HT engine

Are there any dealers currently selling new, fully modified (reliable) HT engines without all the inherent flaws from the factory assembly?

I believe RockSolid does.
They re-work the motors.

Now i just got a PK80-J from Pirate Cycles.
Posted a thread about the teardown i did.
Have this motor in pcs on my bench.

Looks really good to me.

Double sealed 6202 bearings + and extra seal on the sprocket drive.
Dome shape piston / slant head.

Best of all Crowded needle bearings in the bottom end.
In other words they are cageless.
23 needled all together there.

Any of these HT's i would take apart and resurface all the gasket surfaces and clean all the junk out of them.

Other than that put a 10X14X13 Sthil 028 chainsaw bearing on the piston wristpin and i don't think there will be any problems.

Personally i don't have one.
But if they do half of what i do to mine.
Wich i'm sure they do.

Yes it rocks.

Will run circles around most MB's.

Why not get one of thoose PK's for $99.

There's tons of info on what to do and it's alot of fun.

If you don't feel up to it Rocksolid has the best worked over engine.
But it costs alot more.
Far as i know the motors from Dax are ok too.
But i don't know if he tunes them up for sure.

I have a Dax F80 and I don't believe that he tunes them, although I could be wrong. This engine is pretty powerful though. I have a 40 tooth sprocket and it rockets up 30 degree hills. On the straights, I'm sure that I could cruise at 35 mph with a shift kit.

I haven't done anything to the engine save for installing a B6HS plug and it has only had about 80 miles put on it so far. I'm hoping to gain even more power after break in.

VERY RELIABLE
Reworked by some one who has been doing this for a long time.
ONE year warranty on CH models.

The source for older kings bushing engines.
Very strong.
Mine is still going strong.
These are not moded

CH or RS

I hoped that someone would eventually figure this little motor out. It's so lite... Fits most frames & has so many sic upgrades available. I also hope my buddy Mr Bad Example is reading this. I know he wants to make a Good Example sometimes.
