Ps...Navy guys don't believe in sympathy, they believe in the 6 "P"s instead...lol.

Hahaha. Truth.
My very first build was in 1985.
I used an old Univega and married her to a Husquarvana for a high school mechanics class.
My last build was a felt faker (seen below).
My newest ride is a phatmoto which I am in the process of modifying.
It was nice pulling out and whipping it together in about an hour.
I am hungry for a real project… something steel.
To be honest the Phatmoto is a $700 lesson in frame engineering.
For an aluminum frame it’s the best that’s out there mass production wise.

How much of that and what in particular did you have to modify or re-engineer, as part of your "$700 lesson" ???...lol...lol.
Lmao…
  • The frame the jack shaft and the rear wheel build are great.
  • The wheels themselves are sketchy. I haven’t ever seen a Bike rim with visible seams.
  • Good hub builds with sealed bearings.
  • Decent hydraulic brakes with phatmoto branding.
  • Cheap oil shocks
  • Cheap handlebars, stem, pedals, seat
It’s a great out of the box option.
I probably am going to spend another $500 on better quality parts. Hehe…probably
