Chopper teardrop gas tanks

Has anyone mounted a chopper style teardrop tank to their bike?
The one I'm interested in buying is a 2.2 gallon tank that is 17' long,
with a 2 1/2' tunnel, 9'wide and 2 inches deep. I will be mounting it
to a 26' Diamondback frame. Would it be too top heavy?

The tank you describe is very similar in size to some of the Moped tanks that several members here have used for their bikes, as well as the bikes from Deringer Cycles. It seems to me that it should work out fine.
