Detonation

Fabian your setup is more prone to detonation because you have heavier engine loads. If you have signs of detonation then check for air leaks, richen the jetting a tad, and lower the input resistance on the Jaguar CDI.

Not only that, but i climb steep off-road hills as part of my travels, which sees the bike moving at a crawling pace sometimes, which in turn has virtually next to no air flow moving over the engine. Quite possible the most punishing thing you can do to an engine in normal operation with correct carburettor jetting.

If you hadn't got the engine heating problem under control I would suggest making an engine fan run by a solar charged battery.

As you know, i have a CR Machine Manufacturing cylinder head installed on my bike. For the most part it deletes the need to have an additional cooling source.
