I agree, and he was. IIRC the officer was also a bicycle cop. OPD has a squad of officers that patrol downtown on weekends on bikes in the area known as the "Old market" which is all old cobble stone and narrow lanes with tons of people walking around. I am sure that slightly swayed his opinion lol.

Yes if you're in a location that allows it. In Tennessee Wrench, your bike would have to be made by a certified manufacturer, registered, and insured. It would be classified as a motor-driven cycle instead of a motorized bicycle. I truly wish the laws were nationally consistent between the states.

So if I don't feel safe doing 30 mph and using Lane Contol, I then ride on wide debris free shoulders, less busy parallel streets, or during hours traffic isn't as busy.
