Carby [FIXED] My carb is not getting enough fuel fast enough

My will start and will run perfect until all the sudden the bike will cut out and won't start back up in till letting still for like 5 minutes
I don't know if the engine is choking or there is just not enough gas getting in the carb then engine

My carb wasn't taking fuel and I tried a new carb it work fine

Check for a blocked gas cap vent.
After the engine stops remove the gas cap put it back and try to start.
If it starts then the tank vent is blocked, or it needs better venting.

There is also a mesh filter on the end of the petcock that resides inside the gas tank that can get plugged up as well if either rust debris or paint chips fall into the tank where the gas cap goes onto the tank.

I remove the mesh filter and just rely on the fuel filter. I suppose more filtration the better but the mesh looks like an issue waiting to happen.

Air trapped in the filter has been a problem for me. I suck it out which is kind of gross. I'm going to make a large washer with a hole that I can put a double acting hand pump on and create a vacuum and remove the air that way.

If you hear a whoosh of air when you remove the gas cap, that means the tank isn't venting
Drill a pin hole in the front of the filler neck or in the center of the gas cap if you need a vent
Or get a new gas cap that will vent
