Help! 4 strokin' and Bogging Down as I Speed Up!

Well...I installed the new plug, cap and wire with no change. The old plug was very wet. It still starts just fine. Initial take-off is still good then it starts 4 stroking again. I'm still running too rich. The angle of my carb is level too, so I'm at a loss. I'm going to experiment with the angle of the carb now. I am going to try and put a right angle copper plumbing fitting on and change the angle that way. Who knows...tilting it back a bit or heck...maybe even tilting it from side to side might help. Any thoughts please let me know.

This worked for me!

I had the exact problem, bogging out near the top end and 4 stroking.
Check your head gasket and torque the bolts to 18 LBS, next the intake and exhaust manifold gaskets and torque bolts accordingly look for any blow through, oil etc.-My top end has increased to 40+ and is smooth as silk.
My 2 cents, Good Luck:D
